In 1990, another wing was added to the right of the 25-story hotel tower, making the hotel have a total of 932 rooms. Satellites, astronauts, planets, and even a massive Star Trek Enterprises-themed Big Six Wheel was added to the casino. The mural set a Guinness World Record for the world's largest mural.Īlong with the expansion came a much heavier themed renovation with the casino. ![]() In 1983, an expansion went underway, adding a 25-story, 400-room hotel tower, complete with a mural of an astronaut voyaging space. ![]() Vegas World opened in 1979 and closed on Februto merge with the Stratosphere.Īfter the Gambler's Hall of Fame permanently closed, Bob Stupak, with the help of Valley Bank, built a 90-room 8-story tower with the cost of over one million dollars on July 13, 1979. Throughout it's history, the hotel was owned by Bob Stupak. Vegas World was an outer-space themed hotel and casino located where the Stratosphere is today in Las Vegas, Nevada. ![]()
